TLI PivIT Android App Installation and Functionality

The steps outlined on this page will guide you through the installation and functionality of the newly released TLI Group PivIT mobile application.

NOTE: These steps are for Android user only! If you would like to install the application on an iPhone, please contact the TLI Group Development Team at . Alternatively, you can contact the TLI Group Development Team at the Abbeydorney HQ on 00353 66 713 5710.

Below are the main features of the TLI PivIT app and how to use the various features.

INSTALLATION

The  TLI Group PivIT mobile application is distributed through a 3rd party tool called HockeyApp. Before you are able to download the TLI PivIT app to your mobile device, you first have to install the HockeyApp.

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD LINK

To install TLI PivIT, please visit THIS link on your mobile device. The link will open the download page on the TLI website. Select DOWNLOAD TLI PiviT HERE.

STEP 2: OPEN DOWNLOAD

The app will download to your mobile device. When the download is completed, you will receive a prompt to OPEN the installed file. You can also find the downloaded file in your mobile devices Download section under Settings.

STEP 3: INSTALLATION

Select PACKAGE INSTALLER to install the app to your mobile device.

STEP 4:ADDITIONAL SETTINGS

You may be prompted to allow the app to be installed from UNKNOWN SOURCES. You can set these in your mobile devices security settings if it does not open automatically.

STEP 4: INSTALL

The TLI PivIT app will now be installed on your mobile device. Installation takes a few moments and requires a network connection.

STEP 4: APP INSTALLED

Your TLI PivIT app is installed on your mobile device. You can now open your app and login with your TLI Employee ID. The app will also appear under your list of installed apps.

FUNCTIONALITY

LOGIN AND MAIN NAVIGATION

LOGIN

Login to the TLI PivIT app with your TLI Employee ID. Your TLI Employee ID is the unique ID assigned to you by the TLI Group. E.g. 606.

LOGIN CONFIRMATION

Confirm your login details or close out of the login screen and try again.

MAIN NAVIGATION – NETWORK CONNECTION

The main navigation screen where you will be able to select from a number of features. If you have a active network connection, the middle navigation bar will be highlighted in blue. Select from either Fleet Services to perform weekly fleet checks or HSQE to complete near miss/good catch or STOP registers.

MAIN NAVIGATION – NO NETWORK CONNECTION

The main navigation screen where you will be able to select from a number of features. If you have no active network connection, the middle navigation bar will be highlighted in grey. Fleet Services is currently not available offline. HSQE near miss/good catches or STOP registers can be performed offline and submitted when a network becomes available.

FLEET SERVICES

VEHICLE ID

Complete a weekly vehicle check report using the TLI PivIT app. Enter your vehicles fleet ID to start. The vehicle fleet ID is the unique number that identifies the vehicle – and not the vehicles registration number.

VEHICLE ID CONFIRMATION

Confirm your vehicle id and details or close the details and try again.

MAIN NAVIGATION

The main navigation screen allows you to select to either do your weekly vehicle check, or view previous vehicle checks on the selected vehicle.

FLEET CHECKLIST

Complete your weekly vehicle checks. By default all checks are set to “faulty” – highlighted as red. Mark all checks completed and correct by toggling the switches to “working” – highlighted as green. Submit checks and provide additional details.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

If any checks were marked as “faulty” on the previous screen – please provide more information by selecting from the relevant options for each issue.

MANDATORY DETAILS

Provide mandatory details about the vehicle e.g current mileage and next service due. Submit details on completion to the TLI Fleet Manager.

SUBMISSION CONFIRMATION

Once the fleet report has successfully been submitted, you will receive a confirmation message. Navigate back to the main navigation screen using the blue “home” button.

HSQE

MAIN NAVIGATION

Complete a Near Miss/Good Catch report or a STOP Register report using the TLI PivIT app. Select HSQE from the main navigation screen, and then select from either a Near Miss/Good Catch report or a STOP Register report.

REPORT

Complete any of the reports for submission. All fields marked with * are mandatory. You will not be able to complete and submit a report if all mandatory fields are not completed. Where requested, please provide further details in the free-form text boxes (max 200 characters). If an option is not avalable from the drop down selection boxes, you can toggle to a free-form text box where relevant. Select the circle toggle icon next to the drop down selection to enter details. The button will turn orange as seen here for the PICW field.

SUBMISSION CONFIRMATION

Once the report has successfully been submitted, you will receive a confirmation message. Navigate back to the main navigation screen using the blue “home” button.

SUBMISSION FAIL

If no network connection is available, the report will be saved to the device for submission once a active network has become available. Please see SYNC section.

If a report submission fails for any other reason, you will receive a detailed error message. Please try submitting the report again. If the issue persists, please contact a member of the TLI Development Team stating as much information as possible about the error.

SYNC

MAIN NAVIGATION

If a Near Miss/Good Catch report or a STOP Register report has been completesd offline, you can use the SYNC feature to upload the saved report. From the main navigation screen, make sure the middle navigation buttons are highlighted in blue to indicate an active netowrk connection. Select SYNC.

DETAILS

Any saved reports will be displayed in this section. Choose SYNC to submit the saved data. Once the SYNC has been successful it will removed from the screen and deleted from the device.

SUBMISSION CONFIRMATION

If all reports have been successfully synced or there is no reports to submit, you will see a confirmation screen.
