    In line with TLI Group’s core values, TLI Group, in turn, values its business relationships with its employees, sub-contractors, clients and suppliers. All of these relationships are central to the success of the company.

    TLI Group believes all employees are important stakeholders in the enterprise and it is imperative to build a culture of mutual trust and respect, interdependence and meaningful engagement. This approach helps in building, strengthening and sustaining harmonious employee relations across the organisation.  It is therefore TLI Group’s policy:

    1. To respect the dignity of the individual and the freedom of employees to lawfully organise themselves into interest groups, independent of supervision by the management;
    2. To ensure that employees are not discriminated against for exercising this freedom in a lawful manner
    3. To ensure that those who do not wish to be involved in any organised employee group, are not affected by discrimination or harassed in any way for making a decision that may contradict that of their colleagues, or any group thereof.

    We believe in treating people with respect and dignity, and do not condone the use of our services to infringe upon the human rights of others. TLI Group also expects our suppliers to adhere to the same high standards (see our Supplier Code of Conduct), and takes reasonable steps to ensure that partners with whom we do business adhere to those standards as well.

    Accordingly, TLI Group has adopted the following principles throughout the company. These principles are drawn from the United Nations Global Compact, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, the United Nations Convention Against Corruption, and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

    • TLI Group supports and respects the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights.
    • TLI Group is committed to making certain that it is not complicit in human rights abuses.
    • TLI Group respects the rights of workers to join, form or not to join worker organizations including labour unions.
    • TLI Group prohibits the use of forced, bonded (including debt bondage) or indentured labour, involuntary prison labour, slavery, or trafficking of persons for itself and/or it’s suppliers. Employment is always voluntary.
    • TLI Group complies with local minimum age laws and does not employ child labour.
    • TLI Group is dedicated to maintaining workplaces that are free from discrimination or harassment based on race, colour, religion, creed, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, gender identity and expression, national origin and ancestry, genetics, citizenship status when otherwise legally able to work, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by any applicable law.
    • TLI Group shall provide employees with a safe and healthy workplace.
    • TLI Group is committed to promoting environmental responsibility and encourages the development and application of environmentally friendly technologies.
    • TLI Group prohibits corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
    • TLI Group believes that freedom of expression and privacy are fundamental human rights.
    • TLI Group will not retaliate against a person who acts in good faith to report a concern, provide information or otherwise assist in an investigation or proceeding.
    • TLI Group requires all employees to adhere to these principles and to all other TLI Group policies, practices and procedures, including TLI Group’s Business Conduct Guidelines.
