Transmission Links Ireland Ltd (TLI) is fully committed to the prevention of injury and ill health of employees, contractors, clients and members of the public who might be affected by the activities of the company. Health and Safety are core values of the business and the continual improvement in Occupational Health and Safety management and Occupational Health and Safety performance is an integral part of the activities of the Company.

Overall responsibility for safety in TLI rests with the Directors, who act through managers and individual responsibility proceeds through the managers in turn to each employee. Each employee has an ongoing responsibility to co-operate with management, by taking care for their own safety and ensuring that their acts or omissions do not affect the safety of others.

TLI are committed to comply with all legal and regulatory safety obligations and standards that impinge on the work and activities of the company. The company undertakes to ensure that adequate resources are provided to implement the Health &Safety Policy. At periodic meetings or when deemed necessary our objectives, targets and policy are reviewed to ensure that they continue to reflect the activities of the company. The Management Team will therefore ensure that:

  • Adequate resources are provided to ensure that proper provision can be made for health and safety.
  • Continued Professional Development of all our qualified Personnel is encouraged to keep up to date with new developments in Safety & Health Legislation.
  • Sufficient avenues of communication are open between all staff and TLI management

TLI places particular emphasis on training and development of staff so that they are fully aware of required standards and have the necessary skills to meet safety requirements. TLI have implemented systems to monitor measure and continuously improve the company’s Health and Safety performance levels. The company’s process for risk assessment is used to identify risks and develop approved working methods.

TLI promote an open and proactive safety culture with staff and the objective is not only to maintain existing low levels of injuries, but to move continuously decrease the measure of incidents. TLI will build on Occupational Health and Safety management and occupational health and safety performance through the process of continual improvement.
